Eastnor Pottery and The Flying Potter - Pottery Experiences for families, groups and individuals
I’ve been working with the young people at Teme Valley Youth Project on an arts project called Yart.
As well as experiencing all the usual benefits associated with working with clay, the participants made these fantastic ceramic leaf tiles incorporated into a graffiti mural painted on the outside of the youth centre.
I reckon the effect looks pretty good and one I’d definately like to explore further.
If we were ever to introduce a loyalty card we’d have to present one to Elliot’s and Louisa’s families! Cant seem to keep them away from the delights of working with clay.
This time the gang celebrated Elliot’s birthday with an intimate gathering of family and friends. They made and painted colourful pinch pot creatures nestled inside coil pot homes.

We’re loving this collaborative gem that emerged from the kiln last week. Al and his family spent an afternoon coiling the pot before adding ‘Al’ inspired models and stuff to the surface – all to commemorate his birthday.
Back in november Erika & Lucus spent a couple of days at the Pottery as part of an overseas study trip. They assisted with a weekend workshop and created this terracotta sign for our garden gate. A nice little legacy of their stay in Eastnor.
Eliza has always loved making things and has a fine collection of models and figures she has fashioned from coloured modelling clay. In the Easter holidays mum booked her in for a go on the potter’s wheel which she took to like a duck to water.
