Nothing we like more than returning visitors. Last week we were delighted to welcome back Emma, her family and friends as they celebrated her 11th birthday at the pottery. Here they are outside the studio having made and painted some beautiful clay models. The freshly made objects looked so good, I took a few snaps.
Gemma and myself took a trip down to Kent last weekend to take part in the Bromley Arts Festival.
Last year the foot fall of t-shirt wearing visitors languished in the thousands. This year the arctic conditions and sub zero temperatures guaranteed a much cosier event!
Never in all our years of pottery workshop delivery have we operated in such adverse temperatures. (Thank heavens for the green room with warming beverages, central heating and the unwavering hospitality of the Bromley Council events team.)
The hardy public who must be applauded for braving the elements were lovely and appeared to have a good time, Photos of chilled potters here.
Shout out to Contraband International Ltd for the booking & admirable organisational skills.
Love this glittery, multi-coloured tray of pasta, lovingly served up by the early years staff at Prince Alberts Primary School in Birmingham. I spent a day sharing the delights of working on the potter’s wheel with the Nursery children. Looking forward to returning on Wednesday to work with Yr R.
Gill and her family worked collaboratively on this wonderful coat of arms as part of her 40th celebrations. It emerged from the kiln in all it’s glazed glory earlier this week.
