Made in Eastnor

Once again, we provided the clay and fired all 1700 medals for this years Mudrunner event here on the Eastnor Castle Estate.

The event has been going from strength to strength with record numbers hauling themselves around the grueling (and very muddy) landrover experience test track.

This year 200 younger mud runners were able to take part in a Junior event.

Potter on Film…(Again)

For the second time last week my practice was recorded as moving image.

Brearley and Teviot Nursery are making a promotional DVD of all the fantastic opportunities and learning experiences they offer the children.

As well as experiencing the sheer joy of water and spinning clay, the children made honey pots, cups and a fantastic aeroplane (pictured above).

The man behind the lens – James a talented film-maker who also facilitates educational projects in and around the city.

Queen of Hearts

Sarah was busy this week producing 220 clay hearts (thank heavens for heart shaped biscuit cutters!) This was not a job we would have usually taken on, but a friend in need had contacted us out of desperation with a very tight deadline. Once fired, glazed and individually named, the tiles will act as table place settings at a wedding reception.
