Party FAQ’s
Clothes: The party sessions are no-where near as mucky as you may at first think! However, the wearing of old clothes is advisable – best dress and party frocks to be avoided!
Food: Although we are unable to provide food, many of our customers like to bring a picnic. This can be consumed either on the pottery lawn or, as a wet weather alternative, in the studio (once the clay has been tidied away.) We allow ½ hr after the workshop session for picnics.
Finished work: The children’s work will need to dry thoroughly before it can be fired. This takes approx. one month. We’ll contact you once the glazed beauties have emerged from the kiln and the work can be collected during Pottery opening hours Tuesday – Saturday 10am – 4pm.
Planning a smaller party? Why not take advantage of our pre-bookable ‘Intro to the potter’s wheel’ sessions for individuals, families and small groups.
A happy customer:
“Such a lovely afternoon with a bunch of 9 year old party-goers. Jon and the staff were so easygoing and relaxed which meant that the entire experience was stress-free and pleasant. The children made the terracotta nightlights which was the perfect balance between instruction and creativity. Working with the wheel was so hypnotic and fun that I’m thinking about going back for my own birthday!” Estelle
