Eastnor Pottery and The Flying Potter - Pottery Experiences for families, groups and individuals
Check out these amazing pots made by Wendy, a recent participant on our potter’s wheel weekend workshop. Unbelievably she hadn’t made pots on the wheel before her visit to Eastnor.
These little beauties will be bubble wrapped, dispatched and reunited with their creator in the next few days.
The final pot throwing workshop of 2011 presented a lovely mix of experenced and first time participants.
A couple of friends who had met on an evening pottery class in London used the oportunity to fine tune their technique – both ladies making some significant pieces. Their fellow makers, a mother and daughter combo, hadn’t ever been on the potter’s wheel before but soon got to grips with the rudiments.
At the end of the day we encourage particpants to select their favourite pieces for firing. Once the wheat had been separated from the chaf the remaining vessels looked magnificent and testiment to a productive and rewarding session.

Ok, it’s not the first thing that springs to mind when you think ‘Christmas office party’ but the forward thinking folk at ratherinventive joined us at the studio for two hours of potter’s wheel fun.
The festive creativity was enchanced by a couple bottles of bubbly – no wobbly pots here though, as the team took to the potter’s wheel like ducks to water.

The group produced some tidy looking pots which we’ll fire, glaze and make available for collection early in the new year.
