I’ve been working with the staff and children at Claverdon Primary School in Warwickshire this week, creating a giant tile panel for their new reception area.
Such an art work serves as an excellent, permanent reminder of the benefits of collaboration and creativity. On this occasion the reason for the project taking place had a much more profound significance for the school.
Tragically, one of their pupils, Molly, passed away last year after a long illness. The family, children and staff wanted to celebrate her life with a commemorative and fun project.
We made a beautiful oak tree in a field of grass and clover with colourful butterflies (Molly’s favorite) circling around the leaves and branches.
Molly’s family have set up a charity in her name to help children with terminal and life threatening illness: www.mollyolly.co.uk
