Eastnor Pottery and The Flying Potter - Pottery Experiences for families, groups and individuals
Pottery hen party season is definitely well under way here at Eastnor Pottery.
The last couple of weekends have been great fun. On the 6th April we welcomed Sophie and her guests. The girls made some cracking coil pots as well as each taking a turn on the potter’s wheel.
Last Saturday Jess and her merry band decended and spent the afternoon supping bubbly and creating clay creations.

Clients from a publishing company who were staying at Eastnor Castle joined us for an afternoon of pottery. The castle had lined up a whole range of activities for the group to enjoy including clay pigeon shooting, off-roading and of course potter’s wheel.
These wonderful models were made by a birthday party group who visited us a week or so before the Easter Holidays. Even though the pots looked pretty amazing freshly made, the addition of glaze has transformed them.
Thank you to all the young potter’s who attended our children’s pottery sessions during the Easter break. We had a busy couple of days making clay dragons all shapes and colours nestled in their lairs. Some of the scaly beasts even had names – ‘Carcass the Carnivore’ one of my favourites.

We were joined by the Graham family on Wednesday afternoon who were on holiday in the area and wanted to try their hand at the potter’s wheel. Mum and Dad went for modest lumps from which to make their pots whilst their offspring went supersized and wrestled with near on 1kg of clay. Good results all round I reckon!
