Pottery for friends

Creative activity for small groups of friendsSeems like Eastnor Pottery and The Flying Potter is the No1 destination for groups of friends seeking out a creative activity.

We’ve seen a marked increase in groups, large and small, visiting the Pottery to sample the potter’s wheel and make ceramic sculpture.

These guys are all chums from Uni and meet a few times a year to catch up and try something creative and different.

Ozzy old school

Jon the potter works at ozzy osbournes old primary schoolSpent three days working with the children and staff at Prince Albert Primary School in Birmingham. We made collaborative pots on the potter’s wheel with YR6 & YR3 and then finished off the residency with a fun and exploritary clay day in Nursery.

In the reception area there is a wall of photos of former pupils. It turns out a certain Mr Osbourne used to be a student at Prince Alberts back in the day. Apparently he still makes regular visits to chat to the children and staff – nice one Ozzy!
