Emily, a 1st year Photography student at Falmouth University, asked if she could come and photograph Jon making pots on the wheel as part of a college project. Her brief – to capture unique and specialist trades people at work.
We all love this little video clip set to music she produced after a second visit to Eastnor Pottery in the Spring.
Dont know how we did it but we somehow manged to make, fire and glaze these rather tasty flower vases inside 10 days!
A bride and groom who were tying the knot in the Castle wanted to gift their guests something special and unique to Eastnor. (I think we ticked all the boxes here!)
Before they could take them away, the vases were filled with beautiful blooms supplied by Oops a Daisy and displayed in the guest’s bedrooms.
Recently delivered this magnificent coat of arms created by the young people at Barons Cross Youth Centre nr Leominster.
The ceramic crest was created in the depths of winter as part of the influential and socially beneficial Yart project facilitated by Brightstripe.
The groom was definitely in the room when this bride to be took to the potters wheel!
As soon as the opening bars of unchained melody drifted from our sound system, one of the party jumped up, donned the mask and joined her friend pinion style!
The girls were great fun and produced some lovely ceramic items that will be fired, glazed and returned to the party in time for the wedding.
Here’s our pottery hen party video.
