We are very proud of this terracotta totem pole created with children and staff at Abberley Primary School earlier in the Summer term.
Produced by the children at Hagley Primary School in the West Midlands with artist in residence Ethan Powell from Eastnor Pottery.
Sarah and Ethan worked with sisters Abigail and Rosie on their joint pottery birthday extravaganza.
The girls and their friends made ‘Owl & Pussycat’ clay models and all partygoers took a turn on the potter’s wheel.
Can you imagine all the conversation and learning that occurred in the production of these magnificent clay works at Cradley Nursery? Not to mention a shed load of messy, early years, clay fuelled exploration and fun.
The project continues in the Autumn term at Play Station Day Nursery in Ledbury. Cant wait!
