It wasn’t just the children who had a fab time at the Pottery over February half term. We saw an increasing number of grown-ups and couples join us for a spot of clay creativity.
Adults of all ages sampled the delights of the potter’s wheel, made coil pots and modelled clay sculpture using the pinch-pot technique. We helped customers celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions by enabling them to create pottery keepsakes.
After the half term holiday, we published a photo album of all the lovely participants who dropped by the Pottery.

Big well done to all the young potters who joined us for our Valentines themed, potter’s wheel workshop sessions for children in the February 1/2 term.

Clay is such an accessible material, whatever your age or ability you can make your mark.

Alan is a talented local artist and professional tinkerer who constructs his quirky art objects from salvaged materials and found objects. Every so often, he’ll book into the Pottery to create some clay figures to incorporate into his upcycled art.
We were delighted to welcome
