Eastnor Pottery and The Flying Potter - Pottery Experiences for families, groups and individuals
It was handy working in Birmingham in the build up to my exhibition.
After a day of clay play and messing around with mud at the fabulous St Thomas’ Children’s Center, I was able to whizz up the M6 and deliver several consignments of pots and sculpture – spread over five days.
Some of the fired and glazed creations from our children’s workshops in the half term holiday.

Introducing the delightful Paige – our most recent work experience student from John Masefield High School in Ledbury.
Paige was extremely helpful last week assisting me with my final exhibition preparations at the Bilston Craft Museum.
She also accompanied me on several workshop duties as well as designing posters and making a range of products to give away to our birthday party participants.
A group of teachers from Wolverhampton learnt new pottery skills in a 3 hr creative development workshop I led at the Bilston Craft Gallery.

It was a pleasure to be called back once again King Edward VI School in Aston last week for workshop duties.
During the day I worked with approximately 60 students spread over x3 sessions.
This year the lads produced a terracotta army made up of collaboratively built figures. Ok, granted, the warriors didn’t look like regular soldiers but you certainly wouldn’t want to mess with these recruits!
In the evening families descended in vast numbers to view the artwork and sample some of the performances and activities the students had been engaged in.
Parents bring cultural dishes from around the world for visitors to feast on. The curries are legendary and the whole event is definitely a highlight in the ‘Jon the potter’ workshop Calendar.
