The very hungry caterpillar finished artworks

St Thomas Hungry Caterpillar ButterflyEarlier in the year I spent seven wonderful days working with different groups at the creative St Thomas Children’s Centre in Birmingham.

We made a whole variety of ceramic panels and free standing sculpture based upon the excellent children’s book ‘The very hungry caterpillar’. As well as producing some stunning, ceramic artwork, the participants developed their mark making, literacy and communication skills whilst having a creative and fun time.

The finished items are on our facebook page for all to admire.

Liz’s pottery hen party

Liz's Pottery Hen PartyAnother Saturday, another pottery hen party! (and some people have to work for a living!!)

I have to admit these occasions are just as enjoyable for us as they are for the lovely people that participate. Liz (bride to be) had done some clay work at an evening class a few years back and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. When we popped up on google as a creative hen party idea in Herefordshire, she was keen to book a session.

The girls spent a lovely afternoon making pots on the potter’s wheel and producing some cracking coil pot creations. Liz’s clay dog was particularly impressive.

Please take a look at the photo album we’ve created on our facebook page.
