Green man at Stoke Prior
Mr Lewis, the headteacher at Stoke Prior Primary School near Leominster is off to Tanzania. He’s visiting an African school that has strong links with the Herefordshire Primary. The children have been communicating with each other for a number of years, larning about and comparing their different life experiences.
I worked with current YR6 students, making a collaborative, wheel thrown pot, covered in clay self-portraits. The pot is to be presented by Mr Lewis as a gift when he visits the Tanzanian School in a few weeks time.
I also worked with the rest of the school making a ‘Green Man’ tile panel, which if I may say so, looks blimmin’ fantastic! Once it’s out of the kiln I’ll post a photo on line.
