How do you make pottery?
Gillian has been coming to Eastnor Pottery as a workshop participant for more years than I care to mention.
Here, Gillian is attempting a tagine at one of our regular potter’s wheel workshops held last weekend. Over the years Gillian has made all sorts of pottery items including mugs, plates, bowls and goblets – all of which she uses at home.
It’s great when Gillian is able to attend as her presence serves as an example to the more ‘novice’ potters of what can be achieved with a little regular practice. The four other participants on Sunday certainly got the hang of things very quickly and made some lovely pots. You can admire their efforts by looking here.
The next potter’s wheel workshops take place 30 & 31 March 2013 and we currently have a few places left. Please get in contact if you would like to attend. admin@eastnorpottery.co.uk or tel: 01531 633886
I thoroughly enjoyed myself, as usual, and am looking forward to coming back to finish off the tagines. It will be fun to try cooking with one!
