Loo with a view!

bathroom walls at eastnor pottery & the flying potter are covered in posters of past kids workshop posters from sessions in the school holidaysNow here’s a novel way to decorate the bathroom – posters from nearly 25 years worth of children’s pottery sessions in the school holidays.

People love ‘spending a penny’ in our loo and often comment on the variety and creativity of our themed activities for youngsters. Who can forget ‘Raining Cats and Dogs’ and ‘Fish’ and ‘Dad’s a Mug’ and perhaps the most ingenious ‘Hairy Potter and the Goblets of Fire’ from way back in 2005.

The next children’s workshop sessions take place in the approaching half term holiday and are called ‘Choctoberfest!’ Wednesday 24th October for Gloucestershire and Wed 31st October for Herefordshire and Worcestershire. £15 per child. Children’s February 1/2 term pottery sessions

2016 February halfterm creative workshop at Eastnor Pottery

‘Raining cats & dogs!’ Wednesday 17th February 2016

Inspired, in part, by the incredibly soggy winter we’re currently experiencing, and that popular climatic phrase, we’re inviting youngsters to make clay cats and canines on a special children’s workshop in the February half term.

The 1.5 hr workshop sessions are designed to suit two age groups, (4-8yrs at 11:30am and 9-12yrs at 2pm) although younger or older siblings will never be turned away from either session.

Places cost £15 per child (with a 10% discount for x3 or more places booked) and can only be reserved by telephoning 01531 633886 or email admin@eastnorpottery.co.uk

Ho ho ho!

childrens pottery workshop at eastnor pottery herefordshireStep away from those mince pies and put down the chocolate coins, it’s time to get the clay out!

These creative youngsters are just a small selection of participants who took part in our Christmas holiday workshops on Thursday.

Father Christmas provided the initial inspiration for the clay fun, but as we actively encourage the children’s imagination at every turn, we ended up with all kinds of models including snowmen, reindeer, cats, dogs, horses and a smurf!

We were so impressed by the children’s creativity, we’ll create a photo album on our Eastnor Pottery facebook page…watch this space!

Generally, the Christmas workshops are not as well attended compared to the sessions we run in all the other school holidays. Not the case this year though, as we were pretty much up to capacity, running several 1.5 hr sessions throughout the day.

The next sessions take place in the Spring 1/2 term holiday on the 15 & 16 February. The workshops are designed for two age groups, 4-8yrs and 9-12yrs but older and younger siblings are never turned away. We are still working on a theme but the sessions will definitely include a go on the potter’s wheel.

Please email admin@eastnorpottery.co.uk or tel 01531 633886 to reserve your place.
