Eastnor Pottery and The Flying Potter - Pottery Experiences for families, groups and individuals
We are well and truly immersed in the pottery hen party season here in Eastnor, Herefordshire. The groups keep on coming and the standard of thrown pots, pinch pot sculpture and coil pots the girls produce improves on a weekly basis 
Hannah’s gathering made some fab pinch pot clay models as well as each taking a turn on the potter’s wheel.

Team Artrix visited us on Monday for a pottery team build and a spot of lunch.
The morning was divided into collaborative and individual clay work – the afternoon, fuelled by Potter’s Wheel fun and games.

In an attempt to stem the current flow of aspiring potters, we continue to add new course dates for our weekend and one day potter’s wheel workshops. It seems no sooner the sessions are announced, they are fully booked with lovely participants, eager to try their hand at the potter’s wheel.
We particularly enjoy learning a little about participants’ occupations – as you can imagine we encounter a variety of jobs and experience.
The day workshop held on June 12th was no exception. The group was made up of a hairdresser, puppeteer, bar worker and an IT consultant amongst other professions.
We were so engrossed working with this lovely lot on Saturday, we completely forgot to take any photos of them creating their pots on the potter’s wheel. Luckily all six participants returned on Sunday to turn and colour their creations, so we managed snap a few pics then.
